International Roadcheck 2026: Key Inspection Focus

From May 12–14, CVSA’s International Roadcheck will bring a 72-hour inspection effort across North America, focusing on both drivers and vehicles.

Driver Inspections Include:

  • License and qualifications
  • Hours-of-service records (RODS)
  • Medical certification
  • Seat belt use and impairment checks

 

Special Focus:

  • ELD compliance — detecting tampering or falsified records

 

Vehicle Inspections Include:

  • Brakes, tires, steering, and suspension
  • Lighting and electrical systems
  • Fuel systems and structural components
  • Cargo securement

 

Special Focus:

  • Cargo securement — ensuring loads are safely secured

 

Drivers or vehicles with serious violations may be placed out of service until corrected.
